About the event

In this work week workshop, Shifting Perspectives: Mastering Point of View in Fiction, part of The Practice of Writing series with Leah Scott-Kirby and Nina Barufaldi, participants will explore four essential narrative perspectives: First Person, Second Person, Close Third, and Omniscient. Through reading discussions, guided writing exercises, and POV adaptation practice, attendees will deepen their understanding of how each viewpoint shapes character, tone, and emotional impact. Each session includes two 20-minute writing sessions and collaborative feedback. Writers will gain hands-on experience in shifting between perspectives to strengthen their storytelling skills and make deliberate narrative choices in their fiction.

Perfect for writers who want to learn or play.
